Main Features of Crunch
Crunch offers a comprehensive accounting service encompassing invoicing, payroll, debtors and creditors monitoring, and the expected slew of annual and monthly reports. The beauty of Crunch’s system is that a great deal of the input is automated, removing a large and expensive amount of time consuming work – beneficial to the customer’s purse and allowing Crunch to free up personnel to be available to provide the friendly and personal service so appreciated by their current customers.
Who Is This Accounting Software for?
Crunch is aimed at new small businesses and independent sole traders or freelancers; exactly the type of businesses that would gather the year’s invoices and receipts in a shoebox over the year, then sit for a panicked week or longer trying to work out the profit and loss figures! Small businesses that do not yet have a big enough turnover to warrant signing up with a big and expensive accountancy firm are also an excellent fit for Crunch.co.uk.
Plans and Pricing
Crunch.co.uk offers two basic packages: Complete, which is aimed at very small businesses, for example a freelancer or contractor. This package caters for up to 2 directors, 4 shareholders and up to 10 employees. Complete has a monthly cost of about £59.50 plus VAT and that figure is standard, year round, no extra year-end charges will be incurred.
Max is the package aimed at small, but growing businesses. Up to 4 directors are permitted on this package and Crunch offers a twice yearly financial ‘health-check’ with a senior accountant and benchmarks your business against 40,000 UK business to see how it compares. Max is perfect for small to medium companies that are either just starting out, or beginning a program of expansion, enabling directors to stay fully au fait with the finances of the business during this exciting, but hair-raising time! Max has a flat monthly fee of £89.50 plus VAT.
With both of these packages there is an extra tariff for employee payroll processing.
Unlimited email and telephone contact is permitted for no extra charge, and both packages offer a dedicated accounts manager and unlimited access to an accountant when desired.
Is Crunch.co.uk Easy to Use?
The software is intuitive and easy to use and updates the accounts instantly, providing immediate access to important figures as and when they are needed.
Customer Service
Existing customers are delighted with the service offered by Crunch.co.uk, citing the friendliness, ease of access to accountants when advice is needed and the very reasonable monthly cost, enabling them to plan ahead and be secure in the knowledge that there will be no nasty unexpectedly high accounts charge at the end of the year.

Andrew Flaster says
Crunch made several errors over the course of the 4 months I employed them. Each time they found a reason to blame me. Their portal never showed the correct financial information and they seemed unable to fix the problem.
In addition, I have recently discovered that they never filed my self-assessment for last year. They claim it was because “I never told them to” even though it was part of the package I paid for.
Truly the worst accountants I have ever used for my company and now they have cost me £100 penalty for late filing.
